Privacy First

Privacy Policy

Your privacy is not a feature; it's a fundamental requirement.

Last Updated: January 31, 2026

๐Ÿ” 100% Client-Side Processing

The most important thing you should know: Your JSON data never leaves your computer.

JSON Nova uses your browser's local computing power to process, format, and repair JSON files. We do not have a server that receives your data, and we do not store any part of your JSON files on our infrastructure.

How it works:

When you paste or upload JSON, our local JavaScript execution thread (and Web Workers) processes the input. This means even if you disconnect your internet, the tool will continue to work perfectly.

๐Ÿ“ข Advertising & Third Parties

To provide JSON Nova as a free service for everyone, we use Google AdSense to display advertisements. These third-party ad servers or ad networks use technologies like cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons that are used in their respective advertisements and links.

Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on JSON Nova. Google's use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our site and other sites on the Internet.

  • Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to your website or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to your users based on their visit to your sites and/or other sites on the Internet.

๐ŸŽฏ Managing Your Ad Preferences:

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or AboutAds.info.

๐Ÿ’พ Local Storage & Preferences

JSON Nova may use your browser's Local Storage to save your UI preferences, such as:

  • Selected editor theme
  • Font size settings
  • View mode (Tree, Table, or Text)
  • Recently used tools list

This data stays in your browser and is never sent to our servers. You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser's cache and site data.

๐Ÿ“ˆ Analytics

We use privacy-focused analytics (Vercel Analytics) to monitor site performance and aggregate usage patterns (e.g., page views, load times).

These tools do not track individual users and do not have access to the data you paste into the editor. They help us understand which features are popular so we can improve the Service.

๐Ÿงน Data Retention

Since we don't collect your JSON data, we don't have any data to retain. Once you close your browser tab, the data you were working on is purged from your browser's active memory (RAM) instantly.

If you use the "Save" or "Export" features, the files are downloaded directly to your device via your browser's download manager.

๐Ÿช Cookie Policy

Cookies are small files that are stored on your computer. JSON Nova uses cookies solely for the following purposes:

  • Essential site functionality
  • Advertising delivery and frequency capping
  • Anonymous analytics

You can choose to disable or selectively turn off our cookies or third-party cookies in your browser settings. However, this can affect how you are able to interact with our site as well as other websites.

User Acceptance

By using our website, you hereby consent to our Privacy Policy and agree to its terms.

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page. We won't do anything that compromises the core promise of 100% client-side security without significant notice.
