Privacy Policy
Transparent, honest, and user-first. Learn how JSON Nova protects your data and respects your privacy.
Last Updated: January 31, 2026
๐ 100% Client-Side Processing
Your data never leaves your browser. JSON Nova is built with privacy as the foundation. All JSON processing, formatting, validation, and conversion operations happen entirely in your browser using JavaScript and Web Workers.
We do not have servers that receive, process, or store your JSON data. When you paste JSON into our editor, it stays on your device. Period.
โ What this means for you:
- No data uploads to external servers
- No risk of data breaches or leaks
- Works offline (via Progressive Web App)
- Instant processing with zero latency
๐ช Cookies & Third-Party Advertising
JSON Nova uses Google AdSense and other third-party advertising partners to display ads that help keep this tool free for everyone.
These advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to:
- Serve ads based on your prior visits to JSON Nova or other websites
- Measure ad performance and engagement
- Provide personalized advertising based on your interests
๐ฏ Managing Your Ad Preferences:
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or AboutAds.info.
๐พ Local Storage & Preferences
JSON Nova uses your browser's Local Storage to save your preferences and improve your experience. This data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.
We may store:
- Editor Settings: Font size, theme preferences, view mode (Tree/Table/Text)
- Feature Preferences: Collapsed/expanded panels, last used tools
- Session State: Your current JSON content (for auto-save and recovery)
๐งน Clearing Your Data:
You can clear all locally stored data at any time by clearing your browser's cache and cookies. This will reset all preferences to defaults.
๐๏ธ No Data Retention or Access
We do not own, store, or have access to any data you paste into the JSON Nova editor.
Because all processing happens in your browser, we have zero visibility into:
- The content of your JSON files
- What operations you perform (format, minify, convert)
- How often you use the tool
- Any sensitive or proprietary data you work with
โ Bottom Line:
Your JSON data is yours and yours alone. We can't see it, we don't want it, and we'll never ask for it.
๐ Anonymous Analytics
We may use privacy-focused analytics tools (like Google Analytics) to understand how users interact with JSON Nova. This helps us improve the tool and prioritize new features.
Analytics data collected is limited to:
- Page views and session duration
- Browser type and device category (mobile/desktop)
- Geographic location (country/region level only)
- Referral sources (how you found JSON Nova)
Note: Analytics data is aggregated and anonymized. We cannot identify individual users.
๐ Third-Party Links
JSON Nova may contain links to external websites (e.g., documentation, tutorials, or partner tools). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these third-party sites.
We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any external sites you visit.
๐ Updates to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we do, we'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
Continued use of JSON Nova after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
